This series reducer is designed and manufactured based on a module combination system, with many motor combinations, installation forms, structure schemes, and fine transmission ratio classification, meeting different working conditions with superior performance. High rigidity cast iron box with steel bars; Hard tooth surface gear is made of high-quality alloy steel; the surface is carburized, quenched, and hardened, and the teeth are ground for fine processing: low-temperature rise, long life, and widely used in metallurgy, sewage treatment, chemical, pharmaceutical, and other industries.
How Does Helical Reducer Work?
Spiral retarders operate more smoothly and quietly than other types of gears and retarders due to the way the teeth engage. A tooth on a helical gear is tangential to the face of the gear at an Angle. When two teeth begin to touch, contact is not done immediately. Instead, as the gear rotates, the teeth gradually engage the gear until they are in full contact. The screw reducer can move in both directions. Either way, the curved configuration of the teeth creates a spiral, while the two gears gradually mesh with each other during rotation.
The average spiral Angle ranges from 15 to 30 degrees. The thrust load is mainly affected by the tangent of spiral Angle. When a large amount of thrust is generated, the thrust load is supported by bearings. When mounted on a vertical shaft, the screw reducer can be adjusted to rotate 90 degrees. Since thrust is generated when helical gears turn, helical retarders are ideal for heavy-duty operations. In addition, because of their quiet nature, screw retarders are often used in automated systems such as lifting or pulling operations.
